Re: C-PTSD and Childhood Trauma

Thankyou @Healandlove 💚

Hello @Shaz51

Re: C-PTSD and Childhood Trauma

You know what I hate that so so many people do. They judge us, they judge us on our habits, our quirks, our physical abilities. It is not because of our (insert reason) that we're this way, it's because we survived situations you couldn't even imagine.

I have early onset osteoarthritis in my lower back, knees and ankles because of what I went through as a child. I was never taught nutrition or friendship or anything normal kids learned. But how many tell me to get up and do more? That I should be able to do a Zumba class and not have to sit down? That I should have a full time job and a house and a husband by now?

But they don't know how much we've overcome just to get here. We are greater than their expectations, we are more than the consequences of our trauma. But still people think they're helping us by telling us what they think, they're trying to be someone they're not, at least we've come to be ourselves, even if it's unfamiliar to others.

Re: C-PTSD and Childhood Trauma

Hi @Just

You doing ok?

Re: C-PTSD and Childhood Trauma

@avant-garde  @Jynx @Dimity why is it I see now different people online only 5 min apart but linked to different headings or topics. It's all good just trying to work it out?

Re: C-PTSD and Childhood Trauma

If they are online wouldn't they be online regardless of which topic or heading or thread your in?

Re: C-PTSD and Childhood Trauma

@avanti-garde thankyou. Yes I'm ok. Just a bit lost. Getting there. Thanks

Re: C-PTSD and Childhood Trauma

@Just

I'm not sure what you mean by linked to different conversations but from what I've gathered is that it registers you as online when you've been online for a little while.

There are ways to stop people seeing you as online in your settings (honestly, I don't like people seeing me online but I still appear online even though I've changed it a bunch of times and it doesn't seem to stick @Jynx how do I fix this).

When people support a post it post themselves it appears in their profiles recent posts section.

Does that make sense?

Re: C-PTSD and Childhood Trauma

@avant-garde  Bravely said. Yes, I know now that our struggles, our bodies are level of energy reserve is endless. Day and night we are drained of energy and experience body pain due to our ongoing stress in our bodies. Others know how to relax our bodies don't so as I see it always ready to respond to a threat even if one's not there. That's what CPTSD is or at least it is for me. We are the strong ones even if we feel like our bodies don't know that. Because we have been to can I say it"HELL" and back. Know that I'm listening and know what your going through in this regard.

Re: C-PTSD and Childhood Trauma

I'm just happy again, so all good. It only made a bit of sense as I didn't know you could be on without showing. So that must be what it was. I did feel a bit on my own. But much better now. Thankyou so much
