That sounds so fun!

Re: What did you do for NAIDOC week??

Hey all,

I went to VACCHO who had a street party with Welcome and smoking ceremony and a big cookup! There was also music and stalls. Was really great!

Re: What did you do for NAIDOC week??

For NAIDOC week, I spent a lot of time talking to the kids about Indigenous Country and culture. I shared the past history, and the importance of recognising Indigenous people as owners of the land we live on today.

We looked into the Stolen Generations history, and read books about the dreaming etc.

I felt so connected.

What did you do for NAIDOC week??

This thread is open to everyone, whether you identify or not.

What did you do to celebrate or recognise NAIDOC week, did you go to any local events

Me and my family did not make it to any major events but we did go to our local cultural centre for a walk and a coffee today which was a good outing for us all

We recently had a baby so it was exciting to take her out safely in the pram to a place that is important to me with our entire family

I really needed  it
