Ndis what supports have you been used/received

I'm thinking of applying for NDIS. Was just wondering what supports are there available for psychological disability and what supports have you received?

I once applied, but it was rejected and I never tried again. @snowflake231 . I only applied because someone said it would be good for me to. But I didn't think i'd get it... and that was years ago. I hear it is even harder now.

If you have a case manager, I wonder if this is something you can talk to them about.

I'm guessing the support packages support people with psychosocial disability to get out into the community and it helps them with daily activities e.g. occupational therapists, support workers etc.

@tyme I know it is hard to apply but I recon the worst that can happen they say no.

Definitely! @snowflake231  Go for it. I couldn't agree more. It's really good to see you reaching out to get as much support as you can. This takes a lot of courage and strength. So proud of you.

I've just been diagnosed with a damaged/ severed vagus nerve caused by botched surgery. Permanent, constant sttacks (the vagus nerve controls A LOT of body functions). I was told 12 months for disability pension and I would have trouble getting NDIS, even with irreversable neurological, physiological and physical damage I would have trouble qualifying. And expect years of process. Which didn't fill me with hope, considering I will probably never work again 😞
