Hello dear Friends of the Forest,

Thank you to @Oaktree  for sorting us out and keeping us straight and providing the list of names. 🙂

Kanga bustles around and looks out more blankets so that Eeyore and anyone else who wants to snuggle can have comfort. She brings out some apple and cinnamon muffins for the gang. She discovers a sand pit near the cave, where Tigger and Roo can play. She listens as Horrace whispers that he might be feeling a bit better, and feeds him some more medicine just to be sure.

From Kanga

Hello @Oaktree @Adge @Appleblossom @NatureLover @Shaz51 @Emelia8 @Ripples @HenryX @Lilaca @Exoplanet

TAKE 2

I just lost my next contributiion to the story.

I have mastered colour though as you can see.

Thank you so kindly for the list of users and characters - extremely helpful. Needs to be put in a safe place.

Not one of my safe places which I forget.

I found my way out of colour.

Briefer version of my efforts to  story:

After Tigger bounced along and landed upside down in the sand pit. He said hello to all of his friends playing there.

Roo and Kanga helped brush off the sand from his face as he could not see very well.

Tigger then smelt the muffins and followed his nose to the cuddly blanket where muffins were laid out beautifully on a platter for all to share.

He bounced off without further ado  and as his paw reached out to grab not just one, but two; a stern sounding voice said to him.

What do you think you are doing

Er just helping myself to a muffin.

One or more than one muffin.

Well I thought that I might take one for after.

Hmm okay then said Grumpy Bat, Aloysius.

Aloysius was even grumpier as he still had more letters to deliver even though he had his apprentice Horrace whom he generously agreed to take on as his apprentice.

Somehow his apprentice had managed to be promoted over him.

This was the last straw.

Aloysius did not even have a user name.

(user names being a sore subject as there is confusion around which one as well as does one have more than one user name...in house issue with self)

@Oaktree and @Ripples appeared with freshly squeezed fruit juice to share.

They were both very excited to see some of their friends already there in a sheltered space outside of the cave. They had been worried that their friends would not leave the cave as there had been so much going on.

Tigger tnot noticing the two new arrivals gingerly walked around to the other side of the cuddly blanket, quietly taking 2 more muffins.

He quickly bounced and pole jumped over to a large bush where he had noticed two little faces peering out.

Hello Gumnut baby and Piglet. I have brought you some muffins as you must be very hungry.)

Before they had time to thank him for his kindness he had disappeared in the opposite direction.

Tigger was looking for something.........

Tigger also  wanted to be in the good books of Aloysius the grumpy post bat.

He was going to find a (user name).

He did not how that is why he had to look for something first.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I wonder what the something was............

Any ideas?............

@HenryX

Welcome to the world of writing and receiving letters via virtual  post

I tried to find the article that you had written noted below and was unable to.

I also had 3 more red authentification tickets for merely trying to click on support on here.

Thank you for you offer of help

Tigger/Sophia is just walking away from the technical side of the forums with her hands up in the air.

All too hard.

I would rather spend my time writing and or supporting members.

I very much appreciate your time and patience spent along with your ambition to resolve the issues.

All the best

Sophia

Maybe Tigger could ask Christopher Robins' Mum for her copy of a baby naming book to help find Aloysius a user name?

Now there's a point @Oaktree

Tigger wanders off even further looking for something still....

He has been deep in thought because his good friend Eeyore has been looking after him as well as encouraging him to be bouncy again.

Tigger is in search of a user name.

He has no idea what that means as the term user does not sound very nice really.

Does that mean that the name being used by the person, wildlife, birdlife, fauna, reptile, insect, mythical creature is fake!

Oh dear Oh bother....oh no that is Winnie the Pooh talk.

Well perhaps he might find some other characters instead as he has had no success whatsoever with user names on several occasions.

What was it Eeyore said something about finding another name.......

@Oaktree

Finding Aloysius whom I keep thinking is........ St Aloysius...a user name

That does not guarantee that he will be able to join in as a guest though..........

I think that we need to come up with some more characters.

We appear to have lost a few along the way.

I hope that we didn't drop them off somewhere and forget to pick them up...

What about if we were playing hide and seek and forgot to tell them that the game had finished...

Now what was it I was looking for oh yes that was it .............a name

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Dear Friends,

Eeyore is feeling gloomy again, she was so busy enjoying the little groups adventures that she hadn't noticed that some of the group had gone missing. Tigger was right! Maybe indeed they are all playing hide and seek and they forgot to get found? Eeyore is hoping that they come back to the group because it's more fun with friends.

All my love,

 Eeyore

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Dear Forest Friends,

Kanga is happy this morning as she has not reacted to her Covid vaccination! She was delighted to see Gumnut Baby had posted a cooee from up in the tree. She hops quietly over to Eeyore and gently snuggles up to her, whispering comforting words. She reassures Tigger and Eeyore that the story can continue, despite absent friends.

Eeyore confides in Kanga that she is all out of thistles, which are her preferred food. Kanga immediately proposes to the band of friends that they go on an Expedition To Find Thistles. She asks Horrace whether he feels up to coming...Horrace says he would feel OK if he could travel in Kanga's basket. Kanga tucks an excited Roo into her pouch along with Gumnut Baby and Little Bee, and they set off, with Eeyore leading the way, as she knows the best places in the Forest for The Finding Of Thistles. Rabbit also carries a basket, containing snacks for the friends and room for more Thistles.

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Dear Pooh and friends.

Bonjour, my name is Sooty and I'm a black cat with green eyes. I am very much enjoying your adventures. You and your friends are so clever. I hope it is ok that I said hi. I'm very much a typical cat - humans annoy me most of the time except for when its feeding time, then they are the best.

Speaking of food, I'm a very lucky black cat. I get the NDIS so sometimes they go and buy me food when I'm frightened or too tired to get out of my cosy little bed. I think I must be a strange cat because I don't like fish but I love pizza. Supreme is my favourite.

I don't talk very much, so I might just hide behind a bush and watch your adventures for awhile. Then again being a whimsical little fellow, I might just pop by briefly and join the fun. You never know with Sooty - playful and mischievous sometimes, or quiet and reserved at others.

I also have an amazing ability for a cat. I can read, but I've never read Winnie the Pooh or many other children's books. When I was a kitten things were very unpleasant. But now I'm grown up things are so much better.

My memory isn't very good so please forgive me if come to play and forget whose who and what the previous adventure was. I might even repeat myself but that's because I'm getting old, but such is life.

Actively idle,

Sooty the Black Cat  🐈

@Flax

Dear Friends,

Welcome Sooty, you must be the cat our friend Tigger was talking about that was seen at her secret garden hut. We love all kinds of creatures and we are very glad that you have come out of hiding long enough to introduce yourself to us. Maybe you are an Italian cat and that's why you love pizza. I wonder if you like coffee also? I love cream on my coffee, the whipped kind and can imagine that cream dripping off your chin. Of course you are welcome to hide or to take part in adventures - whatever you are comfortable with really. It's up to you.

All my love,

 Eeyore

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Oh you said Bonjour, that would make you a French cat! My mistake…
