Random Acts Of Kindness - Community Challenge

Doing something kind for someone increases our wellbeing – It’s a win-win situation really! I think this video says it all really

Kindness = connection Smiley Very Happy

Here is your mission if you wish to accept *insert mission impossible reference here* Smiley LOL

Try out a random act of kindness tomorrow.

I think I will try and shout a coffee for the person lining up behind me....

Come back & let us know how it went!

Re: Random Acts Of Kindness - Community Challenge

... I kinda chickened out of buying the person behind me a coffee...

So what I did instead is buy some flowers and left them on the door step of my neighbour. I left a "Kindness Card" with them. You can order 'Kindness Cards' through Wake Up project's website: http://wakeupproject.com.au/ they are free 🙂

I've had them in my purse for ages, just waiting for the right time - & today was it 🙂

I got a bit of a kick out of it too.

*TICK* mission accomplished. Did anyone else have a go?

Re: Random Acts Of Kindness - Community Challenge

I took a big bag of dry cat food and some canned fish to the abandoned cats shelter on the road going into town.

I stayed for a while and help bottle feed a litter of kittens whos mum had died. I also took a box of chocolates to give to the ladies who look after all the cats because they are so nice.

Re: Random Acts Of Kindness - Community Challenge

Oh this nice post i love it. Little random acts of kindness are so very uplifting and fill me with a sense of purpose and love. I get tingles even and i notice how others like it too receiveing and giving.
I know i don't always feel this good so while i do i take advantage of it and fill up on goodness. Practiceing all healthy things like meditation and gardening and wow just plain feeling ok.

Sometimes just a smile to someone is an excellent way to connect. With me being socially shy it can be hard to do the communication thing with words.

Re: Random Acts Of Kindness - Community Challenge

True @peace, a smile can lift mood enormously..or a kind gesture..manners are important because they make everyone feel appreciated..I tend to lose mine frequently so perhaps my random act can be reminding myself to say thank you more often! Here goes, thank you @everyone for reminding me small acts of kindness to others and equally ourselves, are vital to our wellbeing....hugs to everyone!!

Re: Random Acts Of Kindness - Community Challenge

haha, yesterday on my walk i asked a elderly neighbour if he needed a hand taking in his bins because he cant walk very well ( i see him nearly every day and i wave or say good morning) ha- and he yelled at me to "go away!" he either didnt recognise me or got quite offered or cranky about struggling with his bins. i had to laugh when i got home - you try and do a nice thing....

Re: Random Acts Of Kindness - Community Challenge

@Baboo yeap that's funny. I love little old men so cute and terriably independant. Thanks for sharing that little bit

Re: Random Acts Of Kindness - Community Challenge

When kindness is practiced, it would just come naturally, I know someone who's just naturally kind, it's like it's her habit.

Re: Random Acts Of Kindness - Community Challenge

Love this idea so on my walk today I just tried to smile and say hello to all I passed.most looked a me as if I was crazy if only they knew.but a few smiled back and said hello back I felt good.

Re: Random Acts Of Kindness - Community Challenge

Someone asked me for a direction/place and I was able to tell her where to find and how to go that place. I think it was a little kindness. I'm happy that I helped.
