Re: Far and Away
I would be much happier if I knew it was going to be all year from the outset @Snowie - an even happier if it was a permanent transfer - but I can only work with what I have so will do what I need to do for 2 terms and then hopefully that Art role will eventuate. What I do know is I want to be back in the classroom and if that is as a specialist teacher (Art) then that is the best of both worlds for me.
I need to remember that last year I not only met wonderful people but some of them have become friends. Also I had a great relationship with the kids so that part of teaching hasn't left me - so I should have confidence I will have that again this year ...of course those doubts are seeping in atm but it is just a down day Nervous though about the new school and also about working full time ...but I suppose I will deal with all that when the time comes - nothing I can do about that until we actually start back.

Re: Far and Away
You are an inspiration to me too @Snowie You keep on going despite all the struggles you are having and the pain and hurt you have been through - and as hard as it is for you you keep going - so don't underestimate just how much you help others here Hon

Re: Far and Away
oh @MDT You made me giggle - I need to remember that one for the kids LOL
My chicken is cooked but my roast veggies are taking too long ...I'm hungry NOW!! Looks like going to be a very late dinner for me but I expect to be up late anyway so it won't hurt. Watching cricket but it could be over early tonight.

Re: Far and Away
Yeah go ahead use that haha.
I am listening to a podcast and copying some old stuff from floppy disks we still have. Even ordered a floppy disk drive for 15 bucks off the web.
I feel like I'm using technology from the Cold War lol

Re: Far and Away
LOL @MDT ancient technology
I have just looked through some old videos cassettes - still use them occasionally to tape things on the video player. I now have a pile of cassettes that I can use - they still work lol I also have a lot of music on cassette tapes and a tape player I use - so I am in ancient land too LOL

Re: Far and Away
Yes it is super hard @Maggie but nothing I can do about it. Initially I was really upset but now just trying to accept it.
Been going to cook the roast chicken all week but kept forgetting to get it out of the freezer - remembered last night so got it out to thaw overnight. It is a big chicken so I suppose it will be chicken salad, chicken sandwiches and maybe chicken stirfry for days lol
