Re: rough time

Yes, there is stuff I can skim over rather than read everything, but there is a lot to do and very little time.

Sometimes having stuff out of your head helps, even if it's just a little.

@Appleblossom - 1,i don't know if I can still hand my assignment in, and 2, I don't think I have the ability to finish it. Whenever I came to writing it, I had an almost complete block. I would just go round and round in circles with it. I could describe the subject very clearly to anyone, but couldn't get it out on paper.

I'm about to have major surgery in the next two months so I may have to defer my course anyway.

I love your NDIS 'supervisor'

Re: rough time

Re: rough time

Study can always wait @Appleblossom. What I'm studying isn't necessary for my career. It's an extra skill I'm learning which will help with career decisions. I can still work without it.

It's taken me a long time to prioritise my health as important. But the last 3 years has shown if I don't take care of that, then I don't function very well. I used to hate not been able to work. But know it's giving me the space and time to take care of my health needs.

Re: rough time

If it's minor surgery, like a lumpectomy, no I won't need help. I'll be able to manage. It's it's major ie mascectomy, I could probably manage at home. But my foster sister is insistent I stay with her for a week or two. And it would be nice as she'll cook good meals for me. It's just that I'll need a house sitter for the cats. Its a long recovery of 6—8 weeks. I won't be able to hang out washing or lift much.

@outlander

Re: rough time

i hope itll only be minor but i guess youll need to wait till you see the surgeon for more info on what will happen? @Sans911
im really glad that your foster sister is there for you as well and more then willing to give you a hand as well.

Re: rough time

I'm hoping it will be minor, but I'm suspecting it might be major as there are several sites of calcification. The surgeons can't perform lumpectomies over several sites because you don't get a nice cosmetic finish. But I won't know what their preference is until I see them. 18 days seems a long way in time.

My foster sister has been such an amazing person in terms of supporting me. I'm very, very fortunate & grateful. Our relationship has changed in the last four years but for the better.

Re: rough time

that is understandable esp since theres several sites. i wish that wasnt the case though. the cancer clinic (?) seems to be well organised though in getting you in as soon as they could. 18 days does seem like a long way off but if you need a shoulder or someone to talk or listen im always ok to be here to help you get through this too.

im really glad you have your foster sister and that your relationship has changed for the better. i have been worried about you and what supports youll have to help you in person. i would come help you if i could! @Sans911 💜💜💜

The uncertainty about size etc must be concerning.
