Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

To be honest, I think I've just been slack. I'm mentioned before that I still have stuff in bags and boxes on my loungeroom floor that have been there for the past 2 years since I moved in. The things don't have a place and home yet, so they are just dumped in the corner of the room.... @Till23

@NatureLover @Dimity

I need to get moving and set myself a timeline I guess.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

When you come back @tyme 😊

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Oh that sounds really hard @Shaz51 I'm not surprised it's taking a while to get things done.

And to have a house burn down as well that's a LOT

As you say though, one day at a time, or as I would say one foot in front of the other, you just have to keep on keeping on through the hard parts to hopefully get to the good

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Week of the 18th May (if all goes to plan) @Shaz51

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Sorry I mean decluttering when you come back home 😊

Make June a decluttering month with me @Till23 , @Dimity

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

I'd love to do that @Shaz51 but I will be away overseas most of June doing sport stuff socially (not competitions but a bit endurance event) with other Aussies from my sport, but I really like the idea of having someone else to help with motivation.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

I've only just sat down @Shaz51 @tyme @Till23 . I worked for a couple of hours then went on my usual walk, and cooked.

I can understand not unpacking @tyme . Some of your stuff might be surprises when you get to it. I have boxes dating back years

Reclaiming your space in your own home might be harder than clearing your father's house @Till23 for all sorts of reasons.  And that's OK. You need to give yourself time to process the feelings.

Your house has been in the family such a long time @Shaz51 it must be full of all sorts of stuff. Are you and Mr shaz planning to redecorate? Re-imagining the space might help you decide what to keep.

I'm trying to restart my decluttering. I'm doing a little each day if I can. Unfortunately trawling through stuff is reminding me of past problems and failures.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Yes @Shaz51 decluttering with you in June would be good. I'm off to a slow start this month and hopefully by June I'll be in my stride.

@NatureLover might consider tackling some boxes with us.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Sounds like a great plan @Shaz51 @Dimity @NatureLover

I will join in when I am here and continue in July, being cooler it might be good for some heavier stuff

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

It's all I can do trying to keep up with the house @Dimity , I think boxes are beyond me. But tidying within the house, yes, I will try to be part of that in June.

Well done on your 2 hours yesterday.

I achieved nothing yesterday but I had a lovely day.

I'm sorry I missed page 500 of my thread; I'd been looking forward to that for a while.

Am looking forward to work today.

Hope you feel motivated today...
