Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Hi @Dimity , I'm sorry to hear you suffered bullying in the workplace 😥

I hope you're right and I'm not facing burnout. It's true that I always find December to be crazily busy.

I'm at home today and hoping to be productive. Good luck with your day too.

Thank you for your care, good memory and thoughtfulness. I really appreciate it ❤

Sending much ❤ back.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Hoping it was a productive day for you @NatureLover .

I was busy with errands, then did a little gardening. GP tomorrow.

Best wishes for work, I hope it's not as busy as you expect.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Hi @Dimity , I only got an hour's work done yesterday, but felt exhausted all day. Bit concerned...for instance, I sat outside with a book for an hour, and was so tired by that I had to go and lie down for 2 hours.

Well done for gardening after your errands. I find errands tire me out.

Will the GP question you about the psychologist?

Thanks for your wishes re work. It depends on the phones, often, whether I finish my admin work or not.

I'm tossing up whether to ask my boss today for time off.

I'm really enjoying this mild but sunny settled weather. Are you?

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Well done on the hour's work yesterday @NatureLover . 2 hours' rest isn't excessive especially if you're not sleeping well.

Yesterday's errands meant a lot of walking so I only did a little bit of gardening.

I saw the gp and got a new referral but I feel dreadful about it. My fault, not hers, she was very kind.

The weather hasn't been too bad so far but extreme heat is forecast Monday.

Fingers crossed work wasn't too onerous today and you've negotiated your workload and time commitment.

Best wishes for tomorrow and your errands.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Hi @Dimity , thanks.

Do you mean you got a MHCP for a new psychologist? Or for the old one? Why did you feel dreadful? Sorry to hear 😥

I saw the extreme heat on Monday. 😣 Thankfully I've got the next 2 weeks off work. Was so tired I barely made it through work yesterday, even with leaving an hour early.

I just had a psych appt and I asked her how to avoid burnout / Chronic Fatigue. She said there's not much you can do to avoid it if it's coming. She advised a healthy lifestyle to minimise the chances of it happening. So I need to eat healthier, with more fruit and veggies.

I've got the second (and preferred) work Christmas Party tonight, and after that I can rest. (Well...rest and also do housework over the next 2 weeks.)

How do you feel today - are you up to doing chores? It sounds like you walked a lot for your errands yesterday. Hope you are OK.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

I guess it's wise to pace yourself @NatureLover but I'm sorry if you're unduly isolating yourself by taking the time off. A healthy lifestyle is always important, but not always easy to achieve.

The gp said you only get 1 MHCP plan a year and my next one isn't due for months, but apparently you can refresh your quota of sessions each calendar year. I got a referral to a mental health social worker but I think after they got it they decided to ghost me. I guess they just didn't want to take me on.

I didn't get far with chores today. Another thing to feel bad about.

I hope you're enjoying your party.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Hi @Dimity  my friend, I'm not sure I've ever heard of a mental health social worker. And I thought we had to book the referred person ourselves? Is it different with a MH social worker?

How would you feel about following up on the referral?

Yes, I really don't like missing work and letting the team down. But am just too tired to function at work at the moment.

I had a fantastic time at the 2nd work Cmas Party on Friday night. Came home at 12.30am, then slept all night, all Saturday till 4pm  and all night again! Was totally wiped out.

Back to normal routine this morning. Actually did 2 hours' gardening and watering this morning. Now lying down exhausted again.

Going to be very hot today and tomorrow for any walks you might be doing in the late afternoons. Do you walk in the heat?

I hope to get some chores done later today. Am staying in now (almost midday) to avoid the heat.

Hoping you feel up to some tasks today 🤞

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Sorry @NatureLover I don't quite understand.  I was booking a appointment myself but had to forward paperwork from the gp. I've been trying to follow up for confirmation but received no reply, that's why I feel ghosted.

I'm glad you enjoyed the party, caught up on your sleep and felt energised this morning.  All very good.

I don't walk in the heat of the day, but might at twilight.

I'll try to get started on some chores. World and national news are depressing at the moment but I try to stay current. The cat is caterwauling and I'm trying to work out what he wants. I'll press on.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Ah, I see @Dimity . That's not good that you haven't received a reply. I hope you receive one soon 🤞

I hope your cat is OK...sounds alarming!

I've just started some laundry, and hope to continue with some chores - any chores would be good at this point! Good luck with your chores today - feel free to report in 🙂

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

It's distressing sometimes for both the cat and me @NatureLover . But I can usually figure out what he needs.

I'd wanted to get through a lot today but didn't do as much as I'd hoped. I got through some chores and wrote my Xmas cards . I hope you had more success than I did.
