Hi @Appleblossom I love cats as well.
I would like one, but I can't really get one yet.
Coming out of hospital has been not too bad, my home is so cold though, it hit me straight away.
Older, badly insulated. Sharp, icy, mean cold.
I gave my friend my keys while I was away, so she could check on my place.
She left me some chocolate cake from her sons birthday.
That was nice to return to,
Today I replenished my food and clean supplies, and washed my clothes.
Coming back is overwhelming for me. I need to learn to reach out more to others for help with this, but it's hard sometimes.
I can't explain it but even cooking a meal, it takes a while for me to get energy to that. I get home, my stuff everywhere between bags, a bit of a trauma response.
Then I realise I haven't ate for 3 days....
But it is getting better
I do feel better.
Sending no ice or mean cold but warmth and hugs

Perhaps a routine might help re meals and a check list re cold and/ a thermometer
I get used to cold sometimes then if put more clothes on things are better
sorry I didn't realise you were in hospital

Hi @TAB thanks for the reply
What do u mean re thermometer, like to maintain heat above certain temp?
.not to worry I did not mention my hospital stay
I was unsure about it and what would happen.
I was there a short time only but it was OK. Nurses quite helpful. Increased meds a bit. I didn't like my room 😕 but lucky at least to have own room. Was a bit dirty and unsettling, not fresh or welcoming. When Ur not well I think u notice and feel stuff like that...
In my opinion...
I'm not too good with the cold, but warmer clothing is a good idea, some layers!!
I bought a few layers to wear at home, to try cozy up. How's Ur space going?

Oh dear @EternalFlower
sounds like you live in my city with the cold .... brrrrr....
when I was young, would sit up in bed to study cos no heater. Now I am sorted with much better layers and slippers etc.
Gradually you will add all your healthy habits up.
When I was young I was not a regular cook, but cos been a mum for over 30 years, I have to keep the food going ... rain or shine ....I just always have a few ideas and stuff for easy dinners ... not big plans, just keep thinking a couple days ahead ... use that cauli ... we are having baked vegies tmrw with cheese and cauli and fish from freezer. Today it special chicken mushroom pasta and creamy basil sauce ... just cos I bought it from spesh shop yesterday ... keep it simple ... then it will be less hassle ... I only cooked every few days when by myself... love leftovers ...
take care
Apple
When by myself, even a carrot or corn on cob handy ... keeps right food around.

Yum, that sounds delicious @Appleblossom .
I barely have energy to cook....it's hard.
Corn used to be a good go to. And a sweet potato in the oven...
Sometimes I grill haloumi ...just the one ingredient, and so lush.
A dr once suggested it to me to up my protein.
Today I did all my laundry, and saw my dr.
How was Ur baked veg and fish?

Dinner was not too bad @EternalFlower
You got a lot done.
Yep re that protein.
I am playing around with more protein than I ever used to, which is cool.

Hey @Appleblossom
I really liked how you explained this,
I am not great at art either, but know it can be good to let some things flow without judgment.
Its exactly how I feel when I crochet. The thoughts are there, is like a soft radio in the background that I may or may notice. xx
P.s - could you please tell me how to link a quote from someone else's post, properly.

Hey @EternalFlower
How are you? Sorry you were in hospital & in an unwelcoming room. You have a concise & detailed way of explaining your experiences. I can relate to a lot of your perceptions. I learn a lot from you too.
It made me happy to read that you loved the gold stars. They are all yours! Hold them for when times get dark. Stars are like angels to me, in the scary abyss of the night sky.
Oh, I live off frozen meals. Dineamics from Coles are delicious. Expensive tho $7.20 EA on sale. I bought one of those Oodies (original) - it is the warmest thing ever, I barely need the heater on. They are expensive too ($120 ridiculous!) I paid $60 or $80 on sale.
Hope you are feeling better. It was sunny here this morning🌻
maddison xx
