Re: Craft Corner

@Emelia8 have you done anymore watercolour paintings? I haven't done mine yet but I would like to try maybe this week. I hope you are well and healing day by day 🌹🌻

Re: Craft Corner

Hi @Former-Member , no I havent done any watercolour painting for some time.  I started another diamond painting a couple of months ago.  But sadly, it was one I was doing for my husband.  A large sailing boat in a colourful sunset. But since my husband died 15th April, I have been unable to get back to it.  Heart isnt in it and I'm not sure if I can finish it now.  Seems a waste.

Hi @Lyra_reachout thanks for appreciating my necklaces. Heart Yes, dressups with mum's and grandma's clothes and shoes was fun. Smiley Happy

Hi @Former-Member your hanging is beautiful, broken ones and all. I have a friend who purposely leaves in at least one little mistake in her knitting projects. Being a perfectionist myself, I get that. I too still have old broken shells for sentimental reasons. Your hanging is peaceful to look at, made of nature. I also love the sound of the next one you have in mind. Heart

Hi @Judi9877 I love your beanie, and that it's for NAIDOC Week. When I was knitting I bought wool from the Bendigo Woollen Mill, mostly can't afford the new wool but some years ago I knitted a section of a larger mental health crafts project with the wool donated. Knitting isn't good for my ailing neck and upper back these days. I'm mostly always creative and a bit crafty, just in other ways these days. So good for mental health in my experience. Smiley Happy

Hi @Appleblossom good to hear about your steps towards a couple of half days of work a week. Heart

Hi @Emelia8 my heartfelt condolences in your mourning for your husband. Your feelings about your art at this time seem natural. May creativity bless your life again in the future. Heart

Re: Craft Corner

Not sure work is possible @Mazarita , but will not happen unless I try.  Going slow about it and with support wkr with my back.  Otherwise all the stuff in my studio is a waste of space and I hate waste, so gotta put it to good use.

There was a homicide in a local secondary  recentschool.  Everyone is struggling.

Re: Craft Corner

Sounds good, @Appleblossom, play it by ear as the steps unfold. We have nothing to prove any more, though clearly open to new possibilities as well. Heart

I'm a bit overwhelmed by the ndis activities at the moment. It's truly great but my system is struggling a bit to keep up, the contrast to the little I was doing before it started maybe six weeks ago now. Overall I can feel benefits from the physical treatments and activities, but will not be ramping up activities for now.

Part way through a series of three trauma-releasing hypnotherapy sessions. I trust and like the psychologist, who seems new agey but in a way I feel drawn to, or at least open to at this time. I would not have agreed to working with trauma (to avoid traumatising myself further, as I've done in the past), except there is no need to relive anything in these hypnoses.

The main trauma sessioin is next Tuesday, looking forward to it. Hoping to lay some of my dark and damaging memories to rest.

Hi everyone, well wishes all. Heart

Re: Craft Corner

I am interested in how you set up so many activities? @Mazarita   Maybe I need to push my plan more for that kind of thing.  Mostly I went with physio as it was helpful for neck and solid contact through Covid, re the emotional/ trauma/ psychosocial stuff I was unlucky and had more subtle putdowns than productive suggestions.  Wondering what a good plan would look like...
