haha 'good' problems, i guess we do need them to learn sometimes.
@Appleblossom that's such a good point about learned helplessness - devices definitely play a big role! i have heard of students struggling with handwriting due to dependency on keyboard typing, and how AI is being used a lot more in classes so there's not much critical thinking being practiced. at the same time, these kids are amazing at using technology, perhaps they just have different strengths.
sometimes i wonder if the popularity in 'influencers' online has skewed the meaning of 'role models' for the younger people.

I guess the problem of celebrities is perennial.
@rav3n and how their influence is manifest in the society.
I am not overly impressed that AI and high use of devices will make up for the shortcomings. Sorry, guess I am old fashioned. I have a few decades of teaching up my sleeve. The increase in learned helplessness may also play into the lack of resilience…. But I am generalising. There will always be exceptions….I live in hope..l

As someone with 2 generations of CSA in institutional settings, and individual personal experience, and as someone who has mixed with many others during silent protests and attempts to get enquiries and commissions in place, I am concerned about this situation. Concerned in many ways. I don’t believe, mass screening for sexually transmitted infectious diseases is wise. And yes personally triggering, as a person with files eagerly stamped with examinations done… and yes, the knowledge among survivors that not all doctors are ethical about it. KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF DOC. Disgust, disgust, disgust. Outrage. Even in the legal circles there needs to be more care and less assumptions.
Please be careful with other young lives.
you can put a trigger warning on this. I won’t tag people who are not employed for support
yes this issue is part of the context of premature deaths in my family.

Hearing you @Appleblossom 👍💗 and yes, you have my silent support and greatest admiration. Always 💕
I am okay thanks. Having fortnightly apts with my psychologist, which is helping. And Hannah 🐕 is also a big help 😀 💞

Little signs of connection like pushing the support really helps. @Emelia8 I guess after a while we don’t have to say much, but the little touch matters.
Yes, our fur family makes a big difference.
I had a good session with my psychiatrist today. He said very briefly something in a way that showed he understood my circumstances. When his secretary called for the money, she said I was one of the good clients. I try hard not to go over time lot or be difficult. I am a good little Vegemite…. lol.. have been with them for years.
Not sure how your weather is… it’s wet here…
