Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

I'm glad you told me you were triggered, so I don't inadvertently do it again @Dimity .

The birdbath and birdlife sounds nice, especially the magpie and blackbird.

Yesterday I did 3 hours' gardening and watering and 3 hours on the house. I'm going back to work on Monday and am alarmed at the house not being done, as much as I wanted.

Today I have a lunch out and hope to do a bit more on the house. Good luck deciding what to tackle...

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

6 hours @NatureLover ! That's an incredible effort.  Well done!

I hope your break from work has been refreshing and reinvigorating and there's no more risk of burnout.

Enjoy your lunch.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Thanks, @Dimity .

I just got back from lunch and am exhausted. I don't think I'll be getting any work on the house done.

I don't like my chances of coping being back at work much. I still feel burnt out, although better than I was.

However we are getting a new boss very soon so I really need to be there to establish my role with the new boss.

What are you working on today?

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Don't worry about the house @NatureLover there's probably nothing that can't wait until Tuesday.

I agree it's probably best to be in the picture during the transition to a new management team.

I've been decluttering the pantry although I hadn't thought to put it on my task list.

I went for a short walk this morning before the storms rolled in. The rain will be good for the newly mulched bit of the garden.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Did you enjoy decluttering the pantry? I always find that satisfying.

I did an hour on the house yesterday before the lunch, but that's all. I would quite happily have another month off work.

I agree, the rain is great for the garden. That's good you got a walk in before the storms.

Good luck on your tasks today...

@Dimity

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

I trust your first day back at work went well @NatureLover .

I cleared some old stuff from the pantry but it didn't create much space. I guess things are easier to see now they're not stacked.

Today I did more work in the garden., and a bit of decluttering.

I asked the neighbours for help with the bins as I usually look after them for all 5 units, and haven't heard back from the owners. One tenant I spoke to today said he'd put his own bins out and didn't offer to help with mine or anyone else's, Technically they're shared bins anyway.  I'll ask again in a week or two.

Tomorrow will be busy with 2 appointments to get to and the lawnmowing chap coming. I hope your day goes well and you're not trying to recover from today.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

That's very disappointing re the bins, especially as you have been doing all their work, @Dimity . I hope someone will agree to help for the 6 weeks of your recovery.

What was it re the bins that you were asking the owners about?

Well done for the gardening and decluttering.

I had a great first day back at work, and surprisingly am not totally wiped out this morning. Hoping to do 3 hours on the house today.

I am hoping to be able to really step up and attend work for the next 3 months consistently, to be there for the new boss. Usually I take a lot of mental health days off. Although it may be a month at least before the new boss arrives.

No sun yet today to motivate me, but am off to do laundry.

I hope your busy day and appointments go well.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Sorry if it wasnt clear enough  @NatureLover . I need someone to wheel out the bins and bring them in again. I've been told I'll risk my stitches and also a possible relapse if I carry weights or exert myself.

It sounds as though your work is off to a good start for the year.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Ah yes, I understood that that was what you were asking from the other tenants @Dimity , but not the owners. Do the owners live there too?

Yes, I loved being back at work yesterday, despite my initial reluctance to return.

Have just realised that today needs to turn into an errand day with quite  lot to do. Am now psyching myself up to leave the house.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

It's a self managed owners corporation @NatureLover . Over the years there've  been different  owners and tenants but I tend not to know the tenants' names or contact details.

Did you get your errands done? I know it's a challenge to go out sometimes.
